AI search check
$0
We check if ChatGPT and other AI tools can read your website, and list what to fix.
The AI search check tests whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews can read your practice’s website. It also checks if you are listed on the sites they use for their answers, like directories and review sites. We test seven things and email you the result of each, with the fix.

Your practice and an email. The results land in your inbox within two business days.
Your website can block ChatGPT without anyone choosing to. One security setting, or the way the site was built, is enough. You can’t see it when you open your site, so we check it the way ChatGPT does.
Seven checks · The fix for each · Five patient questions
When you open your website, every part of the page loads. ChatGPT and other AI tools often can’t load it all, so they may see a very different site from the one you see.
This can also break without warning. One marketing agency’s own security setting kept it out of AI answers for 12 days before anyone noticed.
For “which practice should I choose?” questions, assistants build their answer mostly from other sites: directories, review sites and “best of” lists. If you are not on those, even a perfect website may not get you named.
We test seven things. Each one can stop AI tools from reading or trusting your website. The examples come from our 2026 review of US marketing agencies’ own websites, not practice sites. Your report shows what we find on yours.
Your robots.txt rules for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, and what your server or firewall actually returns when those crawlers ask for a page.
What we have seen An agency that sells AI search blocked every automated request we sent, even one that identified itself as a regular browser, on 98% of its own pages. 7 of 45 agency sites we reviewed blocked every automated visitor.
The raw HTML of your key pages, before any script runs. Most AI crawlers read only that.
What we have seen Sites made with some website builders send crawlers a near-empty page. One sent the homepage’s title and text for every address on the site.
How large each page is, and how far into the file your real content starts. Some AI fetchers read only the first part of a page.
What we have seen One agency’s pages ran to about 1 MB each, with the words starting about 860 KB in, behind styling code.
Whether your site or platform serves AI crawlers a different, stripped-down version, and what that version loses.
What we have seen One platform served plain text to AI crawlers on about half its pages, and dropped all the structured data on those pages.
Whether you have one, whether it points at your live site, and whether it lists the pages that matter: treatments, providers, prices and reviews.
What we have seen 16 of 37 agency sites we checked had one. One pointed every link at a test server instead of the live site.
The structured data behind each page (practice name, address, hours, providers, ratings, FAQ) checked against what the page actually says.
What we have seen Star-rating schema on hundreds of pages with no reviews to read, and schema that called every page the homepage. AI answers repeat what schema says, true or not.
We ask the assistants five questions your patients ask, like “best implant dentist in Austin”, note which sites they cite, and check whether you are listed there: directories, review sites and “best of” lists.
What we have seen Of 39 “best agency” lists we read, 26 ranked their own publisher first, and AI answers to “which agency should I hire?” are built from lists like these.
A written report by email within two business days. No call needed to read it.
A result for each of the seven checks. Pass, warning or fail, with the proof for each, like the exact setting that blocks an AI tool.
The fix for each problem. Written so your own web person can do it, in order of what matters most.
What the assistants said. Their answers to five patient questions about your treatments and city, whether you were named, and which sources they cited.
A plain recommendation. Fix it yourself, have us fix it once, or have us keep it fixed.
You choose. Some fixes are an hour’s work for your own web person. If you would rather we did it, both options have a published price.

$1,500
We fix, once, whatever stops ChatGPT and other AI tools from reading your website. For example, settings that block them, or pages they see as blank.
Both plans include it.
$750/mo
Every month we ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI answers 25 patient questions. We fix what stops these tools reading or trusting your website. We also get your practice named on the other websites they use for their answers.
Included in Signature ($1,800/mo). Without a plan, $750 a month.
Nothing, now or afterwards. You get the full findings and the fix for each.
No. We check from the outside, the way AI crawlers see your site. If a fix needs access later, you decide then.
A plain text file at the root of your site that lists your important pages for AI assistants. Not every assistant reads it yet, so treat it as one small fix among several. It costs little to add, and it has to point at your live site.
That is your call, and you can do it selectively. OpenAI, for example, uses one crawler to train its models and another to answer searches. You can block the first and allow the second, so your practice can still be named in answers. The check shows you what you allow today.
Very accurate for what your pages say. Less so for security settings: some treat a real AI tool differently from our test. When a result could go either way, the report marks it as uncertain.
They may be right. The check gives you evidence in a form you can forward to them. Crawler access also breaks without warning, after a plugin update or a hosting change, so a site that passed last year can fail today.

Your practice, your city and an email. We run the seven checks and the patient questions, and send you the results with the fixes listed.
Ask about a plan, a website or anything else.
