Competitor analysis for dentists: why another practice near you shows up first

We search Google the way your patients do and compare your practice with the ones that show up above you. We look at where each one shows up, their reviews and replies, the ads they pay for and their websites. The practice audit does this for three practices. Both plans include a deeper look in your first 60 days: your top 3 on Starter, your top 5 on Signature, with a 90-day plan. Without a plan, the deep-dive on your top five is $950, one time.

The problem 02 / 06

Why does the same practice always show up first?

A patient a few blocks away searches “dentist near me,” and the same practice is on top every time. The reasons are public, and anyone can look them up.

Sometimes they have a bigger budget, or they have been around longer. It can also be simple things. They ask every patient for a review and reply to every one. They have a page for each treatment, or they run ads on searches you never checked. We compare you with each practice and show you which it is.

What we compare 03 / 06

What a dental competitor analysis compares

We compare five things, for you and for the practices above you.

Where you show up on Google. We run the searches your patients use: “dentist near me,” your city or neighborhood, and each treatment you want more of, like implants, Invisalign or veneers. A practice can be first for one search and missing from another.

Reviews. How many each practice has, their rating, how many they got in the last three months, and whether they reply.

Google ads. Which practices pay for ads on your most important searches, and what their ads offer.

Their website next to yours. How fast it loads on a phone, how many taps it takes to book, and whether it has a page for each treatment patients look up.

What you may be losing each month. Our estimate, in dollars, from how many people search in your area, how many pick one of the top practices, and what an average treatment is worth to you. We keep the numbers on the low side.

FAQ 06 / 06

Competitor analysis questions

What is competitor analysis for a dental practice?

It means finding out why certain practices show up above yours on Google. We run real searches and look at public information: where they show up, their reviews and replies, their ads and their websites. Then we list what you can fix.

Which competitors do you look at?

The practices that appear above you when someone nearby searches for a dentist or a treatment you offer. We find them by running those searches, so they may not be the practices you expect.

What’s the difference between the practice audit and the deep-dive?

The practice audit compares you with three practices and estimates what you may be losing each month. The deep-dive looks at your top competitors’ rankings, reviews, ads and pages in more detail. We prepare it ourselves. It’s in your first 60 days on both plans: your top 3 on Starter, your top 5 on Signature, with a 90-day plan. Without a plan, the deep-dive on your top five, with a 90-day plan, is $950, one time.

How often should competitor analysis be done?

The first one shows where things stand today. Rankings, reviews and ads change every month. So both plans include a monthly check of where you rank next to the top three practices near you. It’s in your one-page monthly report.

Will my competitors know?

No. Everything we look at is public: search results, Google listings, reviews, websites and ads. We never contact them and never pose as a patient. We also work with one practice per specialty per area, so we won’t work for them.

How much does competitor analysis cost?

The practice audit costs nothing. Both plans include a deep-dive in your first 60 days and check where you rank every month. Starter, at $1,200 a month, covers your top 3. Signature, at $1,800 a month, covers your top 5, with a 90-day plan. Without a plan, the deep-dive is $950, one time.
