The Tooth Corner case study

In brief

An owner-run dental practice led by an endodontist.

In September, Google showed the new site about six times as often as in its first month. Our root canal cost page moved up from an average spot of 86 on Google to 11. And 50 of the site’s 106 Google clicks came through articles we wrote.

We rebuilt the site so it loads fast and books from a phone. Then we wrote a page for each treatment and its cost, fifteen articles that answer what patients search before they call, and a page for each nearby neighborhood. We also filled out the Google listing and set up analytics in the practice’s own accounts.

Where they started

The website had gone offline, because its web address pointed to a server that no longer existed. The Google Business Profile had been claimed and then left alone. And there was no way to see where patient inquiries came from.

What we did, in order

  1. July 2026

Rebuilt the site to book from a phone.

The site loads fast. The doctor’s name and credentials are on the first screen. Every page has buttons to book or send a message. The reviews patients read before they choose a dentist are on the site too.

  2. July to September 2026

A page for each treatment and what it costs.

Implants, aligners, root canals and crowns each got a page that answers what the patient actually typed: what it is, what it costs in Bangalore, how many visits, what to expect.

  3. August to September 2026

Articles for the questions patients search before they call.

Tooth pain at night, wisdom tooth pain, bleeding gums, aligners or braces. Each one answers the question in plain words and says when it is time to see a dentist.

  4. August to September 2026

A page for each neighborhood nearby.

HSR Layout, Sarjapur Road, Green Glen Layout and Haralur each got a page, so someone searching from there finds a practice a few minutes away.

  5. August 2026

    Filled out the Google listing.

Categories set to how patients search, every treatment listed, real photos of the practice, hours corrected, and a review habit for the front desk.

  6. Google Analytics and Search Console, in the practice’s own accounts.

Analytics and Search Console set up in the practice’s name.

Where it landed

In September, Google showed the site about six times as often as in its first month. Clicks from Google rose from 62 to 106. Most of that growth came from the articles, which brought 50 of the 106 clicks, from readers across India and near Bellandur. The treatment and cost pages now show up much higher. The root canal cost page moved from an average spot of 86 on Google to 11. The site now shows up on Google’s first page for 107 different cost questions, up from 8. Most of the Google rating was earned before we started, so we list it only as background.

Search Console data is the practice’s own, in its own account; the Google listing and the site are public. Every figure is checked again each quarter. The old site was offline, so there is no figure from before our work. Each comparison starts with the new site’s first month, and its dates are in the label.

In Dr. Shabnam’s words

Dr. Shabnam, The Tooth Corner

Our website had stopped working and I didn’t have time to deal with it. Studio Smirk rebuilt it, sorted out our Google listing and wrote patient guides in my name that answer what people search before they call. Now when someone near us searches for a root canal, we show up near the top. One of my juniors is opening a clinic, and I’m sending them to Aditya.

What a US practice can take from this

A patient weighing an expensive treatment reads for weeks before calling. In a US practice that is often implants or Invisalign. The work carries over: a page that answers the cost and what to expect, and articles that answer the questions patients search first.
